Traditionally, night festive liturgy lasts all night in Orthodox churches, and in the morning January 7 people tell each other Merry Christmas. Holiday spirit continues two weeks after Christmas. This period is called Christmastime. These are the holy nights from the birth of Jesus Christ to Epiphany.
