Dear Friends, we are happy to congratulate you with Orthodox Easter that is celebrated on the 5th of May. Easter is a very expected holiday because it’s one of the most favorite ones for all Russians and Ukrainians. As this is the end of fasting and a start of a warm time season, a great number of people go hiking and camping, for picnics and barbecue.
People go to churches, say “Christ is risen!” to each other and pray.
Slavic Orthodox religion is very rich with holy places all around Russia and Ukraine. For instance, Pechersk Lavra in Kiev and Church of Sergius Radonezhsky in Moscow – both of them are worth to see as well as lots of others. People aspire to visit world’s well- known ancient churches and monasteries. This holy time of year is absolutely inspiring, as it makes you believe that hope and faith are the most essential thing of our life.
If it’s interesting for you to feel it from inside, this time is perfect to meet Your Lady. Walking around such places together would be truly useful for you. The inner world of a Lady will be discovered by the new and it will make you much closer.
It would be nice if you give her a present, like a cake or a fruit basket that will be a tasty addition to her Easter feast. Or if you are captured by the idea to study holy places hand by hand with your Lady, take your time. Holidays will last till the 13th of May.
Happy Easter to you from USSR-STAR.com!
