On the night of October 31 to November 1, All Saints' Eve is celebrated – it’s Halloween! The holiday is rooted in the depth of centuries and the traditions of the ancient Celts. Recently, it has become popular in Europe, Russia and Ukraine, too.

Halloween is celebrated on a large scale mostly in the USA and Canada, where it is most popular and is truly the only holiday when most candy is sold.

In Germany, Halloween is celebrated no less colorful with thousands of people dressed in monster costumes, and the locals believe that on this night the host’s ghost appears on the roofs of the numerous ancient castles.

In France, the most impressive processions are held in the suburbs of Disneyland Paris, where the most memorable parades of goblins, vampires and ghosts, lighting their way with pumpkin lanterns, take place.

In China, Halloween is known as Teng Chieh - the day of the commemoration of the ancestors.

In Russia and Ukraine, Halloween appeared very recently and its popularity is not yet comparable to the popularity of the American holiday, but it has already gained its traditions and its fans. There are a lot of them among young people who like to celebrate it in the night clubs and discos.
